From our beginning in 1985, Adrad developed a reputation for supplying locally manufactured quality radiator parts to specialist repair workshops in Australia and New Zealand at competitive prices. Over the years, we moved towards the importation and distribution of complete radiators primarily for the passenger vehicle aftermarket segment. Strategic acquisitions of allied businesses added OE manufacturing capabilities and engineering skills to our group as well as a more diverse customer base. With the support of shared resources and a team of dedicated long-term employees, we grew stronger as a business.
More recently, growth has been organic with innovative new products for the OE segment and expanding channels to market. Demand for other aftermarket parts has also seen an expansion in the automotive product range available to general mechanical workshops.
In 1985, Adrad was founded by Adelaide based business owners Gary and Karen Washington. Beginning as a family-owned supply venture of locally manufactured quality radiators and cooling products, the company gradually expanded into a national enterprise. Adrad’s growth was largely attributed to supplying quality manufactured product in Australia and New Zealand, importation and distribution of complete radiators and the strategic acquisition of other industry giants. This included the Natra Group Limited who in 2022, celebrates a 100-year history of manufacturing and distributing radiators in Australia. Subsidiaries included Air Radiators and Air Radiators Industrial, OE manufacturers for Kenworth trucks since 1978.

We are a proudly Australian-owned and operated manufacturer and supplier, with multiple sites across the country. We have hundreds of staff in a diverse range of roles spanning front office, engineering, manufacturing, sales, distribution and even workshop operation. Many of our employees have been with us for over 10 years, so we have a wealth of knowledge and experience to share. We have a focus on quality in both our products and our people and we value safety, fairness and innovation.
